Welcome Home Jon!

Today was such a great day! Tyler's little brother Jonathan got home from his mission from Paris, France. His flight arrived at 1:50 this afternoon so we were all at the airport waiting with a whole bunch of other missionaries families. Beckem had fun carrying his sign around waiting for his Uncle Jon to come meet him! (He was born a couple months after Jon left) Tyler had the video camera going waiting to see him come down the escalator with all the other missionaries.
One by one they would come down and none of them were Jon. Beckem kept asking where he was at? Mike kept saying is that him? Beckem would say Nope...and put his sign back down. So funny!

He was very fasinated by the elevator and escalator. Grandpa Mike would take him up one and down the other. They did this at least 8 times then he made Grandma take him a couple more!

Hmm....wondering why we had so much time to spare? We thought Jon was taking FOREVER to get down here and kept checking to see if he had taken a different elevator to come sneak up on us from behind. Missionary after missionary arrived and no Jon! We finally discovered that since his flight was direct from Paris that he was in the international terminal and not the regular delta terminal! Ahhh!!!

We ran over there and poor Jon was waiting for us with another missionary and his family! We felt so bad and were so bummed we didn't get to see him come down the escalator! What are the odds!
I'm sure Jon was overwhelmed to come home to a new niece and a new nephew!
It didn't take long for Beckem to jump on his suitcase and want to be wheeled around! He was holding on and dragging his little feet!
The missionary and his proud parents!
Beckem loves to ride everything like a horse so of course that's what he did next!
Jon in his last moment as a missionary....sharing some contact info with a fellow missionary from France.
Ty and Jon catching up on the past 2 years.
Everyone was at home waiting for him. He got to meet his new niece Olivia and see lots of friends and family while eating delicious food!
Catching up with his buddies
After being set apart he found some clothes to wear that fit and enjoyed the night talking to friends and family that stopped by.
We're glad you made it home safe and sound and are so proud of you Jon!
